Diverse City FUNDraiser: Film Screening and Dialogue

Where racial identity meets privilege, there is the slave trade: the center of how resources flow in the U.S. historically. When the whole business is looked at with eyes that do not turn away, then we can see a way out of huge gaps that have been made.

Traces of the TradeDC’s grassroots funder, the Diverse City Fund, invites you to a special fundraising benefit showing the film, Traces of the Trade – a story of family wealth built on slave trading – and a dialogue with filmmaker Katrina Browne about race and racism in our current experience.

It all happens Saturday, April 20th at 6:30 PM at Emergence Community Arts Collective, 733 Euclid Street, Northwest.*

Make a donation at the event, as generous as you can, to enter in and support the DC Fund.
